Paddle puny little boats
Lost in so much tangled kelp
Sipping trust in teacups
Sans any meaningful help
As the lashes bear down
And leave angry red welts
Rings across many oceans
The howl of singeing belts
Farther the galaxies spin
tireless the wax doth melt
in ethers across vistas
Stolid row nature’s dealt
Silent sit and count
Tears, tires and weeps
And wonder gaping lone
burden of Adam’s heaps
