Treasuring and cherishing the innocence and purity of
being a virgin at the age of twenty-seven, never ever
wanting anything to take that away.
Because it signified morals and heart beats of life
that were always centered upon freedom to be oneself
and never be tied down to anyone.
Knowing that would destroy peace of mind and moments
of joy, now all has been taken away into the darkness
of being raped and spat upon.
No longer having the one gift that always brought so
much joy through the years, now fighting the horrific
memories that never go away.
Always finding their way into nightmares throughout
a life that was never really wanted to share, prefer-
ing to feel the gift of grace and blessings it brought.
A shy and innocent life that was murdered by a demon
of lust that interrupted an entire life for all the
wrong reasons.
Tears of sadness never drying, eternally feeling the
shame and embarrassment that wasn’t hers to feel for
it all belonged to the evil rapist only.
A life of loneliness, missing that time of innocence
that can never be reclaimed, because once it’s gone,
a being is never again the same.
