I like to see in the Spring time
A change in the environment all around,
To look at the vast number of trees
Where pink and white blossoms abound.
I like to see the frisky robins
Search for insects in the lawn,
And then fly to a nest in a bush
To feed the chicks after dawn.
I like to see a gray squirrel
Scamper with a remnant acorn,
Up into a tall oak tree
To eat on an early Spring morn.
I like to feel the warmth
Of a gentle Spring breeze,
To hear the sound of birds
And watch the flowers with ease.
I am always appreciative of nature
Seeing the birth of Spring once more,
And hearing the cheerful children play
Brings back fond memories galore.
