The empty void is banished, she’s invited into a serene dreamland,
Where she unites with her Mr Wonderful,
They sway to the beautiful sound of her devoted dream-band,
She is resolute to be part of the sunlight,
To surf on the waves of her courage and escape to New York,
In her homeland she fights to survive the darkness of each lone night,
A black drape casting its sombre mood as she longs for the light
Of the day, to immerse her wandering mind to find an exciting way,
Central Park is holding its arm outstretched from the depth of its soil
To embrace, charm and uplift her to the dizzying heights soon,
Like diving into a warm blue lagoon,
She dreams she wakes up to millions of city lights,
To nurture and comfort her in the Big Apple’s might,
Yvonne and her beloved mum lives in a village in East Clare,
They pick bog cotton in its wild grasslands,
With their artistic flair
They gather a soft and pure appeal with their loving hands
To give style to their old rented farmhouse,
She dresses in summer and spring colours to uplift winter’s land,
She feels an emptiness like her soul has gone missing
And she is desperately wishing
To run away from her internal ache,
She has untamed flame coloured hair wild and awake,
Green cat eyes fully made up,
She flies to New York to lights and action,
A postman knocks on her apartment door,
With a shining smile in his chocolate brown eyes
That makes her fears disappear,
Ray is tall, so good looking and her eyes fill with a tear,
Movement of her deep emotions cascade into a waterfall of good cheer,
His love is serenading her here,
Life is now two heartbeats in a cocoon,
She has discovered a calming lull,
Since she has met her Mr Wonderful.
