As a boy
I always dreamed
How wonderful
It would be
To work
In a chocolate
Factory
Immersed in
Sweet aroma
Tasting morsels
What a life
It would be.
Here I am
Ripe of age
I have seen
Factories
Machines and labor
Making products
Chocolate making’s
No different
Not so easy
Roasting beans
Making liquor
Mixing and refining
Conching and tempering
Molding into blocks
Tedious indeed
Smell and environment
If uncontrolled
Hazards for health
Both inside
And outside.
Sweet’re the dreams
Sour’s the reality
We must realize
Nothing’s easy.
