the cruelty of logic
when it convicts is its
justification that it was
never you that was
punished but the very
criminal act which you
have done.
everything that matters
then is its evidentiary
value.
you blot out the face.
you look at those words.
you arrive at the conclusion
in cold logic, less the
warmth of compassion,
less the fickleness of
emotions.
it is then when you look
at the mirror and see the
pillar: tall and strong and
overlooks the mountains.
