My neighbours are rude
They’re loud, and they’re crude.
Every time I hear a bump,
I practically jump
Right out of my skin
Much to my chagrin!
All I crave is some peace,
But the noise doesn’t cease.
I want to bang back
But it’s gumption I lack.
I really need mufflers
To mute out the scufflers.
It sounds like they’re punching
The walls, knuckles crunching
Or wrestling, non-stop
‘Til they finally drop
To the floor, with a thud – –
Makes me want to throw mud!
I must take a walk
To think, and to talk
Get away from this place
Find some peace, and some space.
(Or, perhaps I should just purchase some bagpipes? And take lessons!
And practice loudly, and frequently!)
