I give him a healing, honey kiss,
I comfort him in hard times,
As he does me,
And I make him feel bliss,
For I am heaven itself,
I play no game, I am honesty itself,
And I please no one but himself,
I play the harp for him,
After a hard day at work,
And I am there when it hurts,
And when I am hurting he comforts me,
For I give him tender, honey kisses,
And I grant all his wishes,
Like a genie conjured from an old lamp,
Of such history and mystery,
And I suppose I am a mystery to him,
But I am also someone he can trust,
And when days are hard,
I know I can turn to him,
And when life goes wrong,
I am there to make him strong,
My soothing touch easing his pain,
Easing his blues, for he makes me laugh,
And I protect him from the rain,
My honey kiss sweet on his tongue,
Healing his heartache,
And he need not have a pretence with me,
For I am not his enemy,
I am not someone who shall turn on him,
And he tells me how much he values me,
Because he knows me:
Knows my touch is sincere,
Our love shared morning and night,
With a honey kiss,
Our love created by heaven,
To be in our hearts for eternity,
Like the gold in an ancient treasure chest,
And a love created equal,
To be born again and again.
