I’m sitting in Papa John’s
when she sashays in.
Five feet two, eyes of blue,
silk blouse and snug jeans
on a frame that ignited a flame!
She loved movies, she told me,
except for the one she’d slept
through
it was about two guys
and their amorous romps
among the cattle!
She had a manuscipt ready
for publication entitled
DOWN THE DRAIN –
a love story about this plumber
who has a weird life, see?
She was a redheaded goddess
with a passion for literature
and I was her kind of guy,
you know? I said I did
and we bonded then and there!
