What is this mystery that consumes me?
I hardly know my own thoughts
Everything I thought I knew
I never knew at all
Blindsided by this other entity
Who lives and breathes my very life
I am no longer one person
I am no one without this other
Once I thought I owned the world
I was the author of my existence
Now I want to own nothing
But that space inside your soul
I cannot breathe without your breath
I cannot think without your thoughts
No longer do I occupy my own space
Because you’re ever in it!
I am filled with the magic of you
I am humbled by the depth of your love
A shooting star fallen to earth
And into my heart.
