In some moments of loneliness,
Our soul unfolds like rose petals
And spreads fragrance all around.
In some moments of loneliness,
Tears gather in the eyes but do not drop
Just disappear like tea cup smoke,
Far away, up into the skies,
To return someday as rain to soothe our eyes.
In some moments of loneliness,
Words wander wantonly on a pensive mind,
While the heavens stand guard not to disturb
A poet’s wandering thoughts.
In some moments of loneliness,
Pain permeates through the grieving heart
Yet he feigns to wear a smile of happiness
Until all the onlookers depart.
