He’s a little demon with beautiful eyes,
Beautifully blue, like the midday skies.
He calls me grampa, and smiles my way,
And under his spell, I want to stay.
He’ll give me a hug, then poke my eyes,
I’ll slap his bottom, and he playfully cries.
He’ll give me a kiss, then pull my hair,
We’re made for each other, God what a pair.
His first words in the morning go like this,
Grandma give me coffee, some coffee please.
Then he’ll drink his by my side with his food,
And murmur to himself, uummm it’s so good.
He thinks he drinks coffee, just like me,
More like sugar with milk, with very little coffee.
But he is so happy with his morning fare,
Like I said before, God what a pair.
Then he’s a terror, the rest of the day,
He never sits down, he just wants to play.
And I have to follow on my ancient knees,
Cause he’ll turn and say, ‘come on grampa please.’
