fell softly upon his eyes, as he stood
near a ‘springtime’ beauty queen…

Rapturous music filled the air
as they walked along in a dream
across the foothills of Angleterre
in the country of evergreen.
His mind wanders back forty years to the
day, when he met his adorable bride,
in the month of January nineteen sixty-nine
now it’s springtime in winter one more time.
