away on the tracks
one looks a girl

going on 17
one cries on the
other’s shoulder
one consoles
carefully treading over
mushy maudlin tracks
her love flutters
like seeds in the winds
she knows this little episode
will be over, sooner or later
like the train that just
made its way out
