So the timer is on, twenty minutes to go – such is the challenge for today
Something called writing one-oh-one; I’ve started, so into the fray
The day one challenge – ‘unlocking the mind’ – write freely for the time specified
Whatever comes into the writer’s mind – “That’s a tricky one to start with” I cried
Because what if like me, you are playing with words, fitting ones into rhyme
And you run out of steam or are floundering, or simply just run out of time?
But having said that, I’ve started and the words and the rhyme are already starting to flow
This ‘unlocking’ thing is working quite well and I’m enjoying myself, don’t you know!
I love playing with words and making them fit, for after all that’s what ‘Jemverse’ is for
‘Life in words’ is my catchline, so that’s what I do, always daily and sometime more
But there’s already a danger here, lurking about of ending up with something inane
It would be good instead for bloggers worldwide to sit up, take notice, shout ‘Hey!’
‘That’s not all that bad for an immediate challenge, did all that just really come out?’
And ‘yes’ would be my simple reply, ‘It’s my thing. It’s a gift. Have no doubt’!
Just checked on my mobile and have noticed with horror that my time is almost done
Just a couple of minutes to finish the first of my first “Writing one-oh-one”.
