The weight on my shoulders,
put this brace upon my back,
Sixty-five years young,
just a matter of fact.
All this work and worry,
has cost me quite dearly,
The toll on my body,
now I see clearly.
The weight on my shoulders,
put a brace on my back,
Determination I still have,
it is brains that I lack.
Never will I slow down,
I won’t stop to rest,
The brace is my trophy,
for doing my very best.
