The heart falls into small pieces
shards and splinters with
summer before
the eye, though it be on canvas
only.
The heart being a revolutionary
fool, falls,
into shreds, the blood pumps
defiantly somehow
through the conduits
of the flesh, the heart
is in quite absolutely
the mouth, that is indeed
the salt, red taste
of blood on the tongue.
