On this beautiful sunny afternoon in Spring
As the goldfinches fly in the Parkland they sing
A certain freshness in the cool coastal breeze
And quite a pleasant high of 21 degrees
Nature at her finest at this time of the year
The flute of the magpie melodious and clear
The buzzing of the nectar gathering bees
Around the Parkland flower beds and blossoming trees
The mud nesting magpie larks sing out pee wee
In balmy November by the southern sea
The natural beauty one can only admire
Of singing Nature’s praises one never could tire
And in pursuit of flying insects in the sunny sky
The dark swallows above the green Parkland do fly.
