The hardened beach winks crystal
Stung and clawed again.
Foam clings gray and trembles.
Some thin breeze compels.
Half shells smooth as pearl
Are drier than the sand.
A feather eddies up and stills.
Gold brow to glinting nails
Alert, light spiralling
Her ears, her hair, she stands
And stares. The moment ends.
No seas crash louder than
Her wishing it again.
