Into my Life, there came a ray of light,
Of Hope from God, in despair when I lay;
Not knowing what it meant, I clasped it tight
And wondered if God meant a newer way.
The ray of light enlarged into a beam,
That stronger grew until it lit life’s room;
It was a true event and not a dream;
I came out of my despair and my doom.
And soon, I understood this sign of God;
My life’s travails disappeared in a trice;
The years rolled by and now I am a Bard!
My poems helped me keep off from all vice.
I’m happy now; the road looks again clear;
In joy I cry to God, ‘Thy gift’s so dear! ‘
