By The Water’s Edge

Flowers stand tall by the water’s edge
only disturbed by the breeze and refreshing rain.
As evening falls silently,
lovers arm in arm call to sit
and enjoy the moonlight
shimmering across the water.

Hypnotized by the nights beauty
they rest back on the grass
in the comfort of its cushion
and gaze at the star speckled sky
on which thousands of wishes
are made from dusk to dawn.
