Sitting at the corner table
Writing the lyrics of my own demise.
People see me but move along
Ignoring the sound of my cries.
I know I give the impersonation
That I want to be left alone,
But such a thing is not the case
And this, I wish, I could have shown.
I see some playing pool
Across me with their friends
And as one shoots another ball
Her partner starts to grin.
Friends are such wonderful people
But it seems like I have none.
Nobody is here to comfort me
Or help me to have fun.
