I have seen the facets of love,
From a child to the breasts of a mother
A dying soldiers last words to his wife,
A year later, she marries another
Yet, I believe in a love at first sight
Some insist, nothing’s so simple
Others choose to cry in the night,
Thinking love an impossible riddle
Scarred are those by the brand of a chance,
Hardened with the cold of a shoulder
Blessed are those who try it again
Looks are gone, but wiser and older
Facets
