He spoke of winds and rain and things
Explaining via a map
There were symbols showing what wind brings
With rain and all that crap
No sun on the horizon
Just Isobars and arrows
And the freezing temperatures he said
Would make my breathing narrow
He stands there every night at six
Just after all the news
Telling us about the storms
And giving us his views
Of how strong winter winds will be
That we should stay indoors
He’s Mr Fish the weatherman
And he begs for our applause
He only got it wrong the once
He missed a hurricane
Apologising afterwards
Saying weather was to blame
Thanks for the bloody obvious
The nation said with glee
As the weather blew our house away
And washed it out to sea
