Tired and weary,
I fell asleep
To sounding rain—
Like pattering feet.
Then suddenly awoke
To a noise at my window
It wasn‘t too sweet—
As it did show.
Croak.Crrroooaaakkk!
Oh no, this can’t be.
Crrooaakk! went the frog
And poor ole me.
For hours, he sat
To serenade.
I cringed at the sounds
That he made.
A sad camper,
Miserable was I—
Losing precious sleep
As time dragged by.
