</>Oh how I miss the days of old
When I was just a little kid.
The games we played and fun we had.
The simple little things we did.
A favorite was the hula hoop
Which sported many a different hue:
Yellow, fuchsia, green and red.
Lavender, orange, pink and blue.
Each girl would choose a color there,
And then the jovial game would start.
The hula swirling ‘round the waist,
As each would hula from the heart.
The best performer then was seen
As the reigning “Hula-Hoop Queen.”
A Sonnet Of The Hula-Hoop Queen
