Being in relationship means being in love. Love means acceptance: Praise the good, accept the flaws and provide the inspiration to change. Love is neither a moment nor a feeling, it is the existence of togetherness.
People are complex and love develops in different ways. You don’t need to act or be someone else just to impress your partner. Being in a relationship means being yourself. Everyone is different and being in a relation allows you to celebrate the mutual difference!
Relationship is not about having a handsome boyfriend or having a beautiful girlfriend. It is not about looking for a perfect because there is not perfect person on earth. It is not about looking for a well off or rich person. Money cannot buy love. A relationship is finding someone who respects you, who cares about you, who understands you, who is proud of having you, who loves the way you are, who is faithful to you, and who knows how to comfort you.

1, My Tender Love © Tina Rizk
Sometimes I wonder:
Is love enough to sustain a healthy
Love relationship?
Love is the seed we sow in our hearts
Yet, the seed needs water and care
To germinate, become a bud and flourish
In hot weathers, it needs more water
In stormy weathers, it needs more care
Thus is love, anything taken care of
Grows and flourishes
As the seed would not grow
Without appropriate care
Love doesn’t flourish
without mutual watering
And care by both partners
Honesty, loyalty, harmony
Tenderness, faithfulness
Are all vital elements
In any solid relationship
So the success of a love relationship
Falls on both partners
I thank you for being the rock and the hero
That safeguarded our love relationship
I pray God to help me compensate to you
All the great sacrifices you did for me
And for our soulful love
2, Relationship © Myrnanaomi Alvarez
In a loving relationship
Both parties give
Without restrictions
Love is a process
Love is an unfolding intimacy.
Promise only what you can give
And what you can truly fulfill
In a loving relationship
If you do not know how to
Give and take without restriction
It is not love after all
It is what is being called
Transaction
If I am to choose
I always choose LOVE..
3, Love or Sacrifice © Rocky Shield
Do you really need to sacrifice your happiness for me
You loved me all this while yet allowed me to say “Yes” to other guys
When I even introduce them to you,you never told me you are sad about it
You even encouraged me when I was loosing hope in the relationship
Is that really love or sacrifice?
You pet me and even cry with me when I’m heartbroken
You go out of boundaries to make me cheer up and move on
Telling me those guys don’t worth me
Acting as a father,mother,brother,and confidant
Yet hid the fact that you are in love with me
Am I too dumb not to have seen the green lights
Or too selfish to think you are doing all those cuz its my rights
I misquoted your words “give love another chance” to dating other guys
Were you scared that telling me the truth will break the walls of our friendship
Or think I will date you out of pity
Were you really loving or sacrificing me?
4, Deserve Love © Theo Peirry
Some of us deserve love harmoniously with a partner who’s true
It needs to be meaningful and worthily given, to be felt within you
Feel the flow of loving from each other, as it grows more pleasingly
Receiving and giving love, needs to be felt truthful and gratifyingly
A love feel good movement, is when we deserve love built inside
It should feel real from our significant other half, with great pride
Sweet hugs and subtle kisses together with your lover is harmonic
They give value to your relationship and increases the romantic
To deserve love, is to be respectful to one another with honesty
Real love in a relationship is reciprocal and should never be nasty
Honour one another in your respected relationship commitments
Give and take with good responsibility, without causing resentments
To deserve love, action speaks louder than words, by all means
Share loving and caring acts together, for love devotional dreams
Don’t shun away given love attention, especially when its shown
Appreciate the true affection from your lover, as they make it known
Reflect on happy memories, knowing how to deserve love aptly
Subside moments of regret, to build a closer relationship adequately
Happiness is part of the backbone to a healthy relationship core
Collaboration to please one another’s heart, strengthens to adore
5, Relationship Tips © Tina Rizk
The relationship in which you strive
To prove to your partner
That you are the best person
That you are outstanding
Is doomed to fail before it begins
You don’t need to wear masks
Nor enroll in acting classes
To reach perfection in the other’s eyes
For no matter what you do
There is no perfect person!
When you are constantly criticized,
When you are asked to justify
Your choices, your behaviours…
When you feel your energy drained
That’s your heart telling you
To let them go!
Love yourself, be your own best friend
You too deserve all the love
You generously give to others!
Nothing is better than being yourself
Without the need to make efforts
To be liked, admired or loved
Honor your heart and soul
The one who truly loves you
Will love you as you are
With your mountain of flaws
And the one who doesn’t love you
Won’t love you even if you’re an angel
The right relationship
Fills you with joy and good vibes
In your heart you’ll feel butterflies
You’ll be unconditionally loved
At all circumstances
You’ll feel your soul dancing
Hold on to those who stay with you
In your worst times, who draw a smile
On your face when they feel your sadness
Who read your silence, for they are rare
All beginnings are beautiful
But only endings are truthful
Feelings appear at beginnings
Morals are unveiled at endings
People don’t change
It’s only their masks that fall
Your heart is precious
Don’t open it to passers-by
You’ll never know the truth of a person
Till you see them in anger, disagreements
Conflict of interests
6, How Do Love Work © Nancie Manco
Don’t stay on a person who only do is lust
Trust me that kind of relationship won’t last
Wait for a person who really value your dignity
Find a person who claim you as his property
Let yourself be recognize don’t beg on a guy
When you do it feels like your touching the sky
Don’t pretend and let the true love will do
True guy will find a way to keep you
Pain is what we gain in this endless battle of love
Be ready to make it happen and you will be loved
We all aiming for the right person to treat us right
Seeing that person was a wonderful sight
7, Last Love © Young Savage
I shouldn’t have loved you
When I didn’t know the meaning of love
I shouldn’t have given you my heart
When I didn’t know how to take care of yours
Am sorry I wanted you all for myself
I didn’t actually think u also have other friends
I thought everything was about the two of us
Maybe I only think for myself
I don’t consider other people’s feelings
I just feel like doing what’s on my mind
Am sorry my jealousy had to come to this
But hope you finally understand someday
Maybe I was never ready to settle down in relationship
You are all that I ever loved
If there is never going to be a chance to be with you once again
Then I shall never be with anyone
Only you have stolen my heart
Forever gone with it
And am actually glad I gave it to you
I shall never love again
I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes again
My love will never be the same
You are my last love, and forever will be
I’ve loved and I’ve lost
Who is to be blamed
No one but me
Every moment with you were the best
No one will ever replace you in my life
You gave all your best for me
Guess I was way too blind to see
Our love is lost, forever gone
But you are forever locked in my heart
I still have a journey ahead of me
8, Communication © Amy
Communication takes practice,
it’s never perfect,
sometimes not patient,
sometimes not kind,
but you have to say
what’s on your mind.
Lend an ear,
listen not just hear,
to the ones
you love so dear.
Communication is not
a one way street,
it takes two,
to concur this feat.
Communication is hard you see,
but in the end, it is key,
to that great relationship,
we all want and need.
Open your heart,
say what’s on your mind,
When you are partners for life
there’s nothing to hide.
9, The Shatter Of My Tear © Elysa
Afraid to love
Afraid to hold
All the stories untold
Why am I afraid
Of loving
Afraid of being broken
It’s so easy to take my heart and throw it away
I will stay silent
The only sound you will hear
Is the shatter of my tear
The dropping of my heart
Like a display of art
So beautiful
Afraid to love
Afraid to hold
All these stories, I’ve never told
10, I Love You © Megan A. Smith
I know you’re there
but my world is so bare.
Nothing is standing in your way,
I’m hoping you can make it one more day.
Our relationship has grown so strong,
where could we have went so wrong.
You were there when I needed you,
Now I’m here for you to need me too.
My love for you will stay the same,
never will I forget your name.
By my side, you will always stay,
I’ll think of you day by day.
11, Remember The First © Destrie Moon
I remember the first time you talked to me,
I wasn’t sure what to do.
No one ever talked to me.
This was something different,
But something good.
I remember the first note you gave me
That made my hands shake as I took it from you.
It made me realize someone cared,
That I wasn’t completely alone,
And that if I left this world someone would know.
I remember our first dance together.
My mind was focused on the wrong guy.
I should have known it was you.
All along it was you,
And I’m glad you were the one to catch me.
I remember the first time you were sick.
I watched you carefully as you laid in my lap,
All along afraid you would go,
So small and warm it was then I knew I wanted to keep you.
I remember the first time I felt jealousy,
The feeling was foreign, something new,
A blinding anger that made no sense.
I wanted it gone and the other girl too.
All along I knew I was better for you.
I tried turning my anger by ridding myself of you.
The attempts were less than half hearted,
Even then you were the best thing I had.
The first humiliation and first time you held my hand
I was nervous, ashamed and wondering how much I really meant to you,
But then that simple gesture stopped my shaking, made me smile through fear.
You could make anything better.
I remember the first time I started to love you.
It was another new feeling, but it came so naturally.
You helped me through everything; you were always there.
I knew it was right, I knew you were mine.
I remember the first time I kissed you,
Sitting quietly at night on the porch.
The world seemed to stand still just for us.
I was nervous again, but in a much better way.
I had butterflies for days.
Remember the first time I started to trust you.
It was the strangest feeling you had yet to give.
I told you my secrets, my past and my fears.
You never left me like I thought you would.
You will stand by me through it all.
Do you remember the first time I listened to your heart?
I let my head lay on your chest, my hand lay gently on your face.
Time stood still above the world and we watched it all, just me and you.
Listening to yours set my own at ease.
I remember the first time I felt safe.
Curled up right in your lap
You promised to never hit me, to never try and hurt me.
You don’t know what that meant to me,
It made me love you even more.
It is such a beautiful and amazing thing to know,
That you’ll never hurt me.
Do you remember the first time I believed you?
You held me in your arms as we danced across the floor
You painted me a picture of forever,
I listened in astonishment because somehow, suddenly I knew it was true.
Remember all the firsts and the lasts.
I know we will have more if you spend forever with me.
I’ll do anything to keep you, I’ll never let you go.
You are the only one and you’ll always be.
I will love you forever.
12, Let Me Mend Your Broken Heart © Anna-Marie
Let me mend your broken heart
and wipe away your tears.
Let me hold you to stop your violent shaking
and warm your freezing hands.
Look me in the eyes
and watch the clouds roll back from your sky,
let me calm your storm.
I will stop the waves of pain
and hold back the floods
and pounding rain of tears.
I will silence the thunder of anger
and stop the constant flash of regret and sorrow.
Let me end the mob of reminders
that tell you you’re alone.
Talk to me and end the deafening silence
and let my love end the blinding darkness.
13, I Saw You Today © Rhonda J.P
While walking today as I normally do
I turned around and your face came into view.
My heart beating fast just took my breath away
totally speechless with nothing to say.
I remembered things that were spoken the day we said goodbye
and how bad I felt when I saw you cry.
Just then someone took you by the hand
it seemed that you were happy and life has treated you grand.
So with one more glance at your beautiful face
I knew that someone else had taken my place.
So memories of you will in my heart forever stay
and I am so thankful I saw you again today.
14, Together © Lizeth Felix
It’s about time we knew the truth
I’ve been waiting forever
Now we’re together
Nothing could stop us from finding each other
Only time will tell how long this journey will go
hope it lasts forever
My heart needs to know
how much you love me
cuz I’ve been wounded before
so don’t you dare go
sometimes I’m so confused
I can’t even see through my window
the light blinds my eyes
But that’s okay
Cuz I see us together
that’s all I need
for me to see
we were destined to be.
15, Looking For Eternal Love © Michaela Tatualla
I start my journey on having faith
That someday I’ll find my day
I know this day is not too late
For love to come my way
Feeling lost in a chamber clear
Seeking truth for love to heal
All the pains I have to bear
What is love if it’s not real
Shading my heart with shades of blue
Saving all my tears
Just to look for a love that’s true
Taking all the risk
Walking through a lonely path
I know it’s all I have
And there’s nothing I can do
But to Look for Eternal Love
16, Once © Desiree Sanders
There once was a time,
I would never feel last;
I’m not sure what happened,
But that feeling has became the past.
There once was a time,
Seeing me, brought a smile to your face,
Still I’m not sure what happened,
But that smile, has slowly erased!
There once was a time,
We would communicate so great,
And I still cannot figure out,
And can only hope it isn’t too late.
Maybe its me and the way that I act?
Maybe its you from the way that I react?
Maybe its the drugs, starting to take affect?
Maybe its just me, feeling the neglect?
I care more about solving the problem,
And less about “who’s fault!”
Because this is literally driving me crazy,
And I am ready for the end result.
With all of that said,
to break up.. I hope never;
Michael, I’m truly in love with you,
And still want us to be forever!
17, Colors Of Me © Rachelle N. Biehle
Your love is like a rainbow,
and I am the pot of gold.
Red represents Rage,
because sometimes we’re not always on the same page.
Orange represents Greed,
because sometimes I want more than I really need.
Yellow represents Fear,
because sometimes I have to shed a tear.
Green represents Willpower,
because sometimes I want to wilt like a dying flower.
Blue represents Hope,
because sometimes I feel like I’m at the end of my rope.
Indigo represents Compassion,
because sometimes I never want to let go once I latch on.
Violet represents Love,
because there will never be anyone else above.
All of these colors combined represent white, which is Life,
and no matter how black things may seem,
I will always be basking in your pure light!
18, I Wished For Your Love On A Shooting Star © Alannah Morales
I wished for your love on a shooting star
and didn’t think my wish would get too far.
Then you opened your heart and let me in,
that’s where this crazy love story begins.
You took my hand as I took yours,
and quickly one year turned to four.
Ups and downs, with a few bad falls,
being with you, seems like we’ve been thru it all.
And now we sit here on opposite ends,
with so much love for each other but just friends.
How did we let everything go so wrong
when the connection between us is so strong?
Your love is like poison, I’ve told you before,
a poison so strong, my heart hits the floor.
But you always come back to pick up the pieces
to put them together and make it complete again.
Now I’m afraid you won’t come anymore,
just walk away and close the door, on this relationship
that we’ve built, free of deceit free of guilt.
My time with you I’ve always cherished,
but with time those memories will perish.
This is your choice you will see,
whatever makes you happy, obviously it’s not me.
As hard as I try, it’ll never be
that I make you as happy as you make me.
You always make me smile at everything you do,
and it’s things like that, that make you YOU.
Like the smartass that you are when you talk
to the goofy way you happy walk.
I love the way that you do you,
and even more when you do me too.
The sexy nights and crazy fights
have all been worth it in my life.
I cannot say that you feel the same
and for me that’s pretty lame.
But I can tell you this poem is true,
and I wrote this poem just for you.
To let you know how we got this far,
cuz I wished for your love on a shooting star.
19, Love © Shelagh Bullman
If you love somebody with your heart soul and mind,
Every road to adventure is one of a kind,
Though the road may be rugged and your spirits are high,
Still the sun seems to shine, on the loved ones going by.
You hold his hand and he squeezes it tight,
And your heart pounds with your eyes gleaming bright,
And those wonderful emotions you’re feeling this time
and the stronger you feel the harder you climb.
You need to travel on this long winding road,
Feeling your heart is about to explode,
So you try your best and push yourself more,
This new love you have found, has lots to explore.
You thread this road with enthusiasm and glide,
To win the love of the man by your side,
But don’t you falter or go astray,
This man may love you by the end of your day…
Maybe this is a hope, a dream to reshape,
To fulfill your lonely life you want to escape,
But whatever the reason, you must walk head held high,
Don’t lose faith, this is worth a try.
Do not lose sight, of how love can grow,
When and where …. guess… nobody knows,
So keep your head high, never doubt, but believe,
It does not hurt to wear your heart on your sleeve.
So don’t lose ground and be as you are,
No doubt you will find your lucky star,
May take awhile like all things do,
But I’m sure Love is waiting on this long road for you
20, My Words Are In My Thoughts And Heart © Jenny Aaskov
I know it is hard to trust another when you have been hurt,
You’re protecting your heart, keeping it close to you.
So close you won’t let anyone in,
You say you want to find love again
But want to take it slow
One minute you want to spend time with me
Then others you don’t.
You share no feelings, or thoughts
So that I can understand,
It feels like you’re using me, so you’re not so alone
I really like you and it would be sad to let you go
I really want to know you as a person
Even if it is slow
When you’re gone I miss you lots
Even when you’re here I still miss you
Maybe this is not what you want,
I would like to think that you would tell me,
So that I don’t feel so alone.
If you could just talk to me and let me know.
21, A Walk To Remember © Sushant U. Narvekar
A walk to remember
I wish to have with you.
By the sea shore,
In the breeze,
Hand in hand,
Bare feet.
Feeling the warmth of the sand,
Just you and me.
Nobody to see,
Nobody to ask,
Nobody speaks a word,
Not even you and even me,
Just speaking with a language of eyes.
The things I will never forget,
The things I will never want to forget.
Just you and me,
A walk to remember
With you.
22, A Love Almost Lost © Adam R. Scarberry
She pulled up the drive, and as she got out,
I said to myself, “There is no doubt,
The most beautiful thing I’ve seen in my life.
This woman before me will be my wife.”
Campfire stories and fun four wheeling,
The loose grip on my shirt feeling.
“You better hold on with all of your might.
Our ride begins, starting tonight.”
Wrapping her arms tight around my waist
After full throttle she got her first taste.
I promised to love her till the day that I die.
I put a ring on her finger with no wonder why.
Our love grew stronger and her heart I won,
So she blessed my world and gave me a son.
After many years had come and gone
Something had happened, something went wrong.
Why did we let things get so tough?
Why were our words so harsh and rough?
When she left that night, I died inside.
My anger built up and fueled my pride.
I thought it was over and wanted it so.
I thought it was time to let her go.
The lyrics of Tritt echoed as I hit the floor,
“I’m tired of pretending I don’t love you anymore.”
The tears flowing like a hurricane rain,
The heart I have, feeling so much pain.
I let “the one” walk out of my life,
The one I was once proud to call my wife.
Oh, what I would give to feel her touch,
Hold her in my arms and kiss her so much.
Make love to her like it was my last.
If only we could let go of the past.
Moving forward I will make it right.
I will not give up the hardest fight
To set out and accomplish our new found goals,
To defeat the demons within our souls.
We will overcome our flaws and our fears,
Even if it means shedding more tears.
My life without her I now have seen.
An empty throne beside me that belongs to my Queen.
23, Your Love In The Palm Of My Hand © Rosa Livingstone
I hold our love in the palm of my hand as one would a newborn: with awe and delicacy, with softness and protection, with the promise to nurture
I hold our love in the palm of my hand as one would a stone found on a sunny ocean shore, with respect for its strength, with wonder for its resiliency, with deference for its journey to the shore
I hold our love in the palm of my hand as one would a diamond, with humility of its beauty, with amazement at its density, with humbleness of its potential to withstand harshness
I hold our love in the palm of my hand as I would my own, accepting its fragility, acknowledging its power, respecting its potency and most of all, understanding its need to be cherished
I recognize that the love I feel for you is a gift to be appreciated, and in so doing, it may have the chance to grow and flourish
24, Only One More © Caleb C. Boone
If I only had one more chance,
I would say how much you meant.
If I had only one more chance to hold you in my arms,
I could never let go.
If I only had one more kiss,
it would last forever.
If I only had one more day to spend,
I would spend it with you and only you.
If I had only one more love to give,
I would give it to you.
If I only had one more secret to tell,
it would be how much I love you.
25, Vibrant Colors © Paul T. East
Don’t judge my cover; it’s not mine.
I was given this to wear for the duration of my time.
Over time it has become creased, ripped, and worn,
A once perfect canvas the day I was born.
Even the corners are rounded and jaded.
The vibrant colors that once were have now faded.
Deep inside there are pages missing.
I wish that one day you would sit and listen.
Turn these pages slowly and rewind time,
For it’s down to you to make up your mind.
Gently close me; be careful of my cover.
Then place me back on the shelf for someone new to discover…
26, I Light The Torch © Debbie Billingsley
I light a torch and hold it high
It shines so bright it lights the sky
You see the light, you know it’s me
You find the strength and set yourself free
From the pain and sorrow you’ve felt of late
Your heart now softens, gone is the hate
Two becomes one across the miles
We begin our journey to do the trials
Set out for us to complete
Each one we know we can defeat
At the end we know for sure
Standing side by side are hearts are pure
We fought the bad and won hands down
Good prevails and wears the crown
27, Do You Know? © Amory W. Morgan
Do you know how much she loves you?
Do you know how much she cares?
Do you know she would do anything for you?
Hurt you? She wouldn’t dare!
Do you know how much
You hurt her each time you raise your fist?
Do you know you broke her spirit,
But alone it’s you she’ll miss!
Do you know she cares for nothing
Except being by your side?
Whatever she has to take,
She is ready for the ride.
In silence her heart is torn
Because she knows that you won’t change,
But hasn’t she suffered enough?
Hasn’t she endured enough pain?
I blame myself for showing her
That all men can be mean.
She grew up in a home
Where she always heard me scream.
But think about what I’m saying
And understand all that I say.
She loves you beyond understanding;
Please love her the same way.
You truly have an angel,
A gift from God above.
Don’t take her heart for granted.
Show her kindness, show her love.
28, Enough Hurting Those Who Love You © Erin
Wondering why you have so much hate
Before you see it will be too late
Trying to accept who you are
Just seems far too far
All the pain that you have created
Just sits within you with so much hatred
Hoping you will come to see
What everyone else seems to believe
All I want is for you to realize
You are burning bridges with the one who tries
Open your heart and let me in
Before I just give up let it end
It will be years to fix these issues
I just hope by then I can still trust you
How much more do you think I can take
You won’t see until it’s too late
29, I’ve Figured It Out © Corinna
Whilst our little boy was growing up,
Our hearts were growing at a distance,
Our love was focused on him,
Not on each other, in this instance,
I know now why my heart aches; I’ve figured it out,
We haven’t been sharing the affection about,
We have forgotten each other, over the years,
The couple we once were, the thought brings me to tears.
I am Corinna and you are Matt,
We once were a couple, do you remember that,
Insistence is the key,
Or this could lead to tragedy,
Our little boy needs us together
To do this, we need to consider each other,
Spend a little more time alone together,
Rediscover each other,
Remember why we chose, one another.
Individually we both have identity,
Together we are infinity.
30, Soul Mates? © Lisa
What ever happened to us when did we end?
How long ago did I consider you a friend?
The pain in my heart has turned into fear.
I can’t imagine life without you near.
I have known all along I love you too much.
I smother you and long for your touch.
I try to hide how much you mean to me.
Like a caged bird you want to be free.
I should have had other friends and interests too!
My friends I left so I wouldn’t be away from you.
I guess I just need that one best friend to confide.
That friend that no matter what would be by my side.
I should have known that you wouldn’t be.
You would never be that friend to me.
I shouldn’t have allowed it to go on this long.
When I look in your eyes I see I was wrong.
I tried to force you to think like I do.
I wasn’t a very good friend to you!
31, My Love © Amy P. Spencer
From the moment our eyes met,
My soul could never forget.
You handed me your number on a scrap piece of paper
And walked away with my heart.
Who would have known
That would be the start?
The start of an on-going journey of you and me.
Time passed, lives changed.
We both went our ways,
But still we found each other
Despite life’s maze,
Which leads me to believe maybe this is meant to be.
Our lives entwined,
Forever and always you and me.
32, Love Throughout Time © Jacob L Watkins
Time is like the wind,
Slow and smooth.
Time can change swiftly,
Fast and fierce.
Time is like wine,
Sweet and refined.
Time can be hard to get past,
Bitter and rough.
Time is like a butterfly,
Gentle and beautiful.
Time can flutter by,
Graceful and memorable.
Time is like our love,
Sturdy and never changing.
Time can persevere,
Forever and always.
33, Advice To A Girl © Sara Teasdale
No one worth possessing
Can be quite possessed;
Lay that on your heart,
My young angry dear;
This truth, this hard and precious stone,
Lay it on your hot cheek,
Let it hide your tear.
Hold it like a crystal
When you are alone
And gaze in the depths of the icy stone.
Long, look long and you will be blessed:
No one worth possessing
Can be quite possessed.
34, Evanescent Love © Chris Carroll
From the fire has your heart been troubled
the burdensome life will have it’s own way.
From the ashes you wish to start anew
and hope another dream not fade away.
Through life’s window you cast that wary stare
as you face the uncertainty at dawn.
Trying to be mindful of past mistakes
and those horrible pitfalls they would spawn.
For bitterness cast your heart asunder
due meaning of love took form unbeknown.
In the cold darkness of unbowed sorrow
you would be left to find life on your own.
I don’t understand evanescent love,
timorous they are your radiant heart.
I believe that it may be your heart’s pureness
that causes the impure to fall apart.
35, Secrets © Nicole
Do your secrets rip and roar?
do they tear at you with open claws?
do your secrets dig down deep?
do the make you want to speak?
and also sometimes make you weep?
why’d I do it in the first place when I knew it was along?
I wonder how secrets can be kept for so long?
I wish I could just turn back time,
so that everything will all be fine.
I have never felt this love I feel,
I know that this time it’s finally real.
I have been the lucky one,
he’ll never know the rotten things I’ve done,
but what will happen if my secrets finally escape?
will I break down, or die in a lake?
even though now there in the past,
I wonder how long my secrets will last?
36, Old Smiles © Ted L Glines
I remember when we met,
Your Smilie (laugh) was on that post.
I wondered who you were
And why you cheered me up the most.
You told me all about your life,
And sent me pics of kids and Dad.
Your Smilie (grin) was often seen;
Your song of life was mostly glad.
Came the day you lost your dog,
Old age had come to claim your friend,
And Smilie (sad) was all we said,
For sorrow passes in the end.
You were so very far away,
I knew we’d never meet,
But nestled deep within my heart,
Your Smilie (wink) was oh so sweet.
Years have come and years have passed,
Your siggy dollz kept changing,
While Smilie (glad) and Smilie (sad)
Marked the moments – rearranging.
I know the time will come too soon
When you are gone – and no more cheers,
When posts and emails come no more
And I’ll be left with Smilie (tears).
But somewhere east and far away
Where all is nurturing and green,
Summer lands are warm and caring,
Where Smilie (halos) will be seen
As old friends meet in happy sharing.
37, Friends © Kaylan
we’re friends nothing more
or so it seems
you’re in my dreams every night
when I close my eyes
I see your face
I see your smile
I haven’t seen you in awhile
then you show up
and flash that smile
and I melt
and I wish I knew
how you felt
we’re friends
and I love it but I
wish we were
more…
38, Desired Love © Sabrina P. Foster
A soft touch and gentle kiss
Breathe in me and send me into bliss
Show me real love without touching me
Touch me without damaging me
Am I precious to you?
More than rubies
Am I desired love
Will you let GOD lead you to me
Or will you come when I call
Tell me am I desired love
39, Dream © Allan Reed
If you close your eyes
the world seems to go by
take your time
to realize it just a dream
a picture in your mind
no matter how real it seems
but if you close your eyes you can do anything
time flies by if you want
stop for a while
give me a taunt
maybe a smile
just remember it’s just a dream
you and me
how easy it could be
together forever
we both know together is the only way
we’ll make it another day
without our love
there’s nothing that can take us above
this world
let’s make this dream a reality
40, Holding On © Anastasia Gackenheimer
Hold your breath try to forget the way he would smell and the way he would touch your arm like that.
Brings you back to old memories you thought you left behind in the past.
Words on paper don’t define how he crawled into your heart and turned your world upside down.
You thought the pieces were mended but now their upended like books tossed from a shelf in a rage.
He still makes you weak in the knees with these old memories that seem to stay forevermore.
The fact is it seems like he never left, because you see him everywhere you go like a ghost that will never leave you alone.
41, The Honesty Of Love © Helen Howell
One day the honesty of love
simply melted like the snow
but then the clouds disappeared,
the sun shone brilliantly,
and we thought it was good.
We never saw the lingering
of head bent cautiousness
or knew how quiet withdrawals
taint future outlooks.
But here we stand beneath the sun;
surely we’d remember
that beautiful appendage
to the body beautiful?
We thought, we think, but can it be
we live without love’s honesty
because, because, we thought it good
that day it disappeared?
42, Relationship © Kamala Das
This love older than I by myriad
Saddened centuries was once a prayer
In his bones that made them grow in years of
Adolescence to this favored height; yes,
It was my desire that made him male
And beautiful, so that when at last we
Met, to believe that once I knew not his
Form, his quiet touch, or the blind kindness
Of his lips was hard indeed. Betray me?
Yes, he can, but never physically
Only with words that curl their limbs at
Touch of air and die with metallic sighs.
Why care I for their quick sterile sting, while
My body’s wisdom tells and tells again
That I shall find my rest, my sleep, my peace
And even death nowhere else but here in
My betrayer’s arms…
43, A Mathematical Relationship © Suraj Samtani
I now realise the value of time.
In less than a quarter, our distances have been multiplied.
Our communication has been divided.
In the moments to come, I hope to add more special memories,
And subtract the obstacles of our relationship.
May the intensity of our love be inversely proportional to every wave that falls in the Niagara.
May our Love for each other expand into the universe, and
May it be then integrated with the Higher Source
Until time reaches infinity, and beyond.
44, I Think I Love You © KYB
Have you ever felt invincible
as if you could fly?
That’s me, I’m soaring
On feelings so high.
This indescrible sensation
of emotions I feel.
Are profound and revealing
incredibly real.
My heart is thumping
beating real fast.
My instincts tell me
that we can last.
So invincible I am
and ready to leap.
Into this beautiful connection
that runs so deep.
So if this is flying,
I pray in never stops.
I want to keep soaring,
well above the roof tops.
45, The Moments © KYB
In every season there is a time and place
For magical moments that make our hearts race.
I get to experience these moments with you
I see and I feel it in all that you do
From your soft gentle touch, to the smile on your face
Is there any wonder why you make my heart race?
I love the taste of your lips sweeping against mine
So sweet, much sweeter, than the sweetest of wines.
From hot scorching looks,to slow body grinds.
I want more moments…until the end of time.
Nothing or Nobody can come close
to moments spent with you that mean the most.
These love words are written and given with care,
Because our moments together are beyond compare.
I cherish our time and all that we do
I can’t wait to create more moments with you.
46, To Love Or Not To Love © Christinme Echivarre
I am stuck here stumbling
My mind thinks of so many things
Like how would it be like loving
But I know pain is there, waiting
I have seen my friends
When their relationship ends,
Their lives got ruined
Don’t know if their heart could mend
I want to give love
As well as to receive love
I really feel starved
And sense their’s someone I have
Loving can cause pain, I know
Don’t know how will it go
If there’s too much love they’ll show
Or there’s too much pain they’ll throw
47, One Day © Stella Lambton
One day when I am old and grey
I’ll look back and I will say,
I did everything I wanted to
Well, maybe not quite, but it will do.
I’ve had some good friends through my life
Been there for me through troubles and strife.
We don’t see each other every day
But true friends don’t need to, that’s okay.
I gave help and support to anyone in need
Two things I can’t abide are selfishness and greed,
I tried to be a good person every day
Putting others before me in every way.
I’ve been in love three times over the years
I have no regrets; there was happiness and tears,
Each relationship was different and unique
And fond memories I have of each.
I have found love with a wonderful man
He understands me like no other can.
We are friends, lovers, and soul mates too
Our love is deep, honest and true.
I lost three babies along the way
And I wish my parents were still here today,
I don’t deal with death very well
But I’ve learnt that it’s not too good to dwell.
Two people who give me so much pleasure
Are my daughters, both of whom I treasure,
They have supported me through thick and thin
For them I would do anything.
I’ve written a few poems in my time
I enjoy turning my thoughts into rhyme,
I hope my words will keep me near
When I am no longer here.
48, Love Lies Bleeding On The Floor © William Thomas Fearby
Nobody knows how long a heart takes to break
Nobody knows when they make a stupid mistake
It’s always the realisation that something is wrong
These are the things that make us all grow strong
I made a mistake I shouldn’t have lied to your face
What I did to you I know it was such a disgrace
I cheated on you with your friend don’t ask me why
It was a stupid mistake I didn’t mean to make you cry
Why did I do it to you I really don’t understand why
The day that I told you I felt our relationship die
I can’t blame you for your anger or calling me a whore
That day is the day I felt my lost love bleeding on the floor
Can you ever forgive me I made a very big mistake
I know I really hurt you I caused you so much heartache
I promise I will never hurt you again I wish I could take it back
please give me another chance to put our lives back on track
It was one moment of weakness that I will forever regret
I only hope you can forgive me I know you won’t forget
I’m sorry for all the pain I caused you I can’t say any more
I’m devastated without you my love lies bleeding on the floor
49. Poem To My Dear © Jona Vaso
Hands apart but souls together
It’s two hearts in one forever
What I’m living is not true
Cause my home, it is in you
Time passes that what they say
Trying to make me feel like a stray
But time for me it’s an illusion
And we together are a revolution
I’ve never felt like i was home
Everything I’ve built was built with foam
But now I have it overcome
And you are now what I call home
Sometimes dreams they stay that way
But you and I we have the clay
So we can build what we own
And be where we belong
We only live once, Just a life
What is it without sacrifice
I’m willing to do whatever we have to
Just to be where my heart wants to
So please just tell the same you want
Cause it’s a life, don’t spend it wrong
Future has so many options
Lets not we be the corruption
I opened my heart to you dear
Would do the same for a thousand years
Now you choose to grab my hand
Or let me know where you stand
Cause I always have that weird feeling
I don’t want you to do what you’re not willing
I want things to be from love
I just don’t want anyone to shove
This is my poem, where I stand
I know that we 2 make a good gang
So be yourself and keep you fair
Whatever it is I will always be there
50. All I Have Left ,To Give © William Thomas Fearby
You were my whole world you meant everything to me
When we first met you were wild and so carefree
A gentle loving free soul floating in the breeze
Always helpful and loving and willing to please
But the angels came down and took you away
Now all I seem to do is cry constantly every day
Nothing means anything since you have gone
My heart is so broken I don’t want to go on
I watch the door all day waiting for you to come home
Sitting listening to your messages on my mobile phone
With tears in my eyes knowing you will never show
I loved you so much, God why did she have to go
My heart is so broken my pain will never end
Not only did I lose my wife but also my best friend
Please somebody help me to try and ease this pain
I desperately need some help so I can live again
God please don’t forsake me in my hour of need
Why did you rip my heart out and leave me here to bleed
All my life I have worshipped you and never complained
But now my relationship with you is getting really strained
You took away the one person who means so much to me
Why did you take away my one true love and leave me lonely
What did I do so wrong God for you to treat me this way
My faith in you is now dwindling more and more each day
I feel so lost and lonely I just don’t know what to do
I have lost my faith and my true love all because of you
You have taken everything from me that made me want to live
So if there is a God, please take my life it’s all I have left to give
51, I Love You With No Reason © Sya Khumalo
Dear love lane
When I kiss you
I felt like nothing can stop us
When I hig you feel like I can touch the sky
I never cry
When you around
I never try
To make mistakes
And now I regrets it
I never lie
To our relationship because
You pretend it was a true
You said no one can touch me
And I believed you
Because my love was blind
But now heart broken
And am digging my own grave
I hate your beehive
I hate your braveness
Because my love was being blinded
By the bond of brightness
52, This Is True Love © B Mathepe Seerane
Are you in seek for true love,
leaping to relationship after another,
my dear search no further,
before catching disease,
love cannot be found,
it also can’t be stolen,
many have climbed bed to bed,
in search for it’s location,
instead of love,
they were rewarded children,
they never desire,
while others with illness,
to be granted death as their wish,
to avoid such deeds,
what you need to know about love,
it is that real love has to be builded,
in any kind of condition.
53, My Greatest Dream © Unknown
My greatest dream,
Is to spend the rest of my life with you;
Laughing and sharing,
Making wonderful memories in all that we do To grow
together, to be strong as one,
To talk, to communicate,
To unite when things come undone
To be your best friend,
And for you to be mine;
To support one another
When we give things a try to be honest and faithful
To be kind and comforting,
Generous and respectful For now and for always
54, Our Chalice Of Love © Eric Alagan
Human love a wellspring it is not
Keep drawing and it bleeds to a stop
You take but you do not return
I stop, as I have no more to churn
Do you see how, now it is finished
For love needs to be replenished
I need respect and thoughtfulness
A pinch of gratitude and kindness
My heart yearns these condiments
For my soul to brew love intoxicants
To fill to brim our chalice of love potions
To accomplish our promised fulfilments
55, Remember When © Marcia A. Newton
Remember when we first did meet,
our hearts rejoiced and skipped a beat.
Remember our first kiss goodnight,
the hug we shared that summer’s night.
Remember when we walked the beach
and all our dreams within our reach.
Remember how we used to be
when I had you and you had me.
Remember when we used to talk,
when we held hands and took long walks.
Remember how we spent our days
in warm sunshine and in the rain.
Remember when our one desire
was take a chance and ignite the fire.
Remember the times that made our hearts melt
and all of the passion and desire that we felt.
Remember when you looked at me
and saw the one you love and need.
Remember when you reached for me
and knew that we were meant to be.
Remember when our love was new.
Remember the day we both said, “I do.”
Remember the journey we started together.
Remember our love was always forever.
Remember the promise we made together,
to love and to cherish and to care for each other.
Remember the promise in good times and in bad
and to make each one happy rather than sad.
Remember when you held our child
and rocked the baby when I grew tired.
Remember the treasured times
like these when love grew into family.
Remember when the world was bright,
when we would laugh and hold on tight.
Remember when our hearts were broken,
when times were tough and words unspoken.
Remember when we grieved our loss
with parents gone and feeling lost.
Remember when our love endured
the pains and heartaches of the world.
What happened to the life we shared?
What happened to a love so rare?
What happened to the kiss goodnight,
the warm embrace, the love at night?
Did it all just happen? How do we right the wrong?
I know that in my heart your arms I do belong.
Can we live our lives together just like it all began,
and can we hold and cherish each other and remember our love again?
56, Love Is Love © Mania Jankowski
We walk the fine line
Between insanity and love
Love is love
Isn’t it?
We are told
We are sinful
Impure
Disgraceful
But what of the people
Who cast us aside
Turn their backs on us
Treat us with their cold whispers and burning hot stares
Like we are a knife
Straight into the heart of the bible
And the “holy ghost”
But what right God
Would toss out his own “children”
Just for who they love?
Love is love.
We are the ones in the pouring rain
Who dance and laugh and smile
Even though sometimes it seems
That the world is against us.
we are different
unique
beautiful; we stand strong
against the names
the pain
love is love
but hate is hate
what is left
for those who feel both
and yet neither?
We play their little game
Living in their world where
Laws and rules
That are supposedly in the best interest
Of the people
Bind us to ourselves
We can cry, feel, dream
We can love, care, support each other
Just the like the next person
Who may be classified as “normal”
We are not the devil
We are not the problem
We are hope
We are love
Love is love
57, Trials © Frank Mandarano
Times have been tough, and things have gone wrong,
But the deep love we share has been there all along.
You say why go on, there’s nothing that’s right,
But we never give up; we continue to fight.
There’s a light of love that gives us our sight.
Our hearts may get dark at times, but we know there is light.
We both have situations not fair,
But inside we get through them because of something special we share.
The trials make you aware of the way we feel,
A love that is not fake but so very real.
I know at times that it seems like a raw deal,
But we must get through these trails until we are healed.
Trials are not easy, and you feel there’s no hope.
There are times when you feel you’re at the end of your rope,
But you must go down deep in the pit of your heart.
Let it stop your despair and give a new start.
For true love for each other is a gift some never get,
So when that trial comes, don’t ever forget
That there is a rare thing we share that had to come from above,
And those trials will end; what got you through was pure love.
58, My Darling © Emma Marie Etwell
My darling, my girl,
Why are you so sad?
Why can’t you see that life is not all bad?
You’re my angel.
Please don’t cry,
I don’t understand, so please tell me why?
Your beautiful face,
Your fading smile,
I vow to make you happy for more than just a while.
You’re so precious,
Why can’t you see?
I beg you to break that chain,
Then you’ll be free.
The past is gone,
It’s not going to change,
But the future is yours…
For you to arrange,
Live your life,
Be happy, don’t cry.
I’m here and now those tears can dry.
I love you, my darling,
Let go of the sorrow,
Because I’m here for you…
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
59, I Don’t Know What To Call This © O’Shanel Eppes
I’m tired of trying.
I’m tired of crying.
I don’t have any fight left in me.
I’m so over it.
I gave you all of me
& you don’t seem to notice.
I gave you the best of me
& you don’t seem to care.
I gave you everything.
I’m not going to make you out
To be the bad guy or anything.
At first you were amazing.
Then you got comfortable.
You started to have an “idc” attitude.
You just brush me off like lint.
You toss me off to the side
Like an old, dirty sock.
Throw me away like a used napkin.
Do you know how I feel?
I have no more tears left to cry.
I’m all dried out.
Everything I say to you is a lie?
I can’t make you believe me.
I won’t.
Not anymore.
I’m done.
Are you that insecure?
Are you that hurt?
How do you think I feel?
Do you consider that?
I didn’t think so.
I love you.
That scares me the most.
You say you love me too.
Do you really?
If this is what love feels like,
I want out.
From what I know
This isn’t love.
Love is truthful and happy.
Not lying and misery.
I love you and I hate that.
Sometimes we have the best times,
Other times I wonder,
“Why are we even doing this?”
I can’t take it anymore.
You’re so indecisive.
One day you want me to be with you forever.
You want me to be your wife.
You can’t live without me.
The next day you never want to see me again.
You don’t want anything to do with me.
This isn’t love.
If this is what love feels like I want out.
No I don’t.
I can’t give up.
I care about you too much.
You have issues and I do too.
We’ll work on this together.
As long as you’re willing.
I’m not going anywhere.
I’m here to stay.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
60, Love’s Journey © Angie Mccrackin
When my eyes are locked with his
My lips are longing for his kiss
I feel a love I’ve never known
Yet my heart feels so alone
When our bodies are intertwined
And his hand is locked in mine
We’re laying there cheek to cheek
Listening to our souls speak
We share our dreams, we share our fears
We’re not afraid to shed our tears
We can cry and we can laugh
But we’re burdened by our pasts
Jealousy begins to swell
Why can’t happiness just prevail
Laughter always turns to anger
Our love is once again in danger
Good times don’t ever seem to last
We can blame that on our past
Life has made us who we are
We never seem to get too far,
My soul will never really know
How to ever let you go
This love we have was unexpected
My heart is left unprotected,
I feel our paths were meant to cross
Before you, my soul was lost
Life’s journey’s leading me to you
I need us both to see this through,
I want a love that others envy
And a heart that isn’t empty
I want you to cause my biggest smiles
Ones that can be seen for miles,
How can our story ever start
If we won’t open up our hearts
I never want our love to end
You’re my lover and my best friend,
I’m willing to work to make this last
Leaving our pasts in the past
Love builds from trust, honesty, and respect
I’ll give it to you and it’s what I’ll expect,
So don’t give up on what we have
Let’s build it up and make it last
It’ll be worth it, I promise you this
Our love is one that we would miss
My heart and soul are lost without you
Let’s let love’s destiny see us through
You’re my soulmate, you were made for me
You’re my heart’s final destiny
61, What I Have Been Missing © Troy Williams
You invaded my private world with your beautiful smile and understanding heart,
And I wondered to myself that you were different right from the very start.
You listened without judgment to what I had about me to say,
And even after I was done with the good, the bad, the ugly you still didn’t run away.
We developed a friendship with trust, with no walls to build or guard,
We decided to leave the past behind and step into the good that could be no matter our discomfort or how hard.
I’ve grown to love you with no hidden agenda or false pretense but with only the real me,
Letting you get to know about me what most people never see.
I’m writing this to you for you to understand,
That spending time with you is so precious I never want to let go your hand.
The time that we spend apart cannot equal when we are together,
I miss you oh too much but when we meet again will be so much better.
Our time apart for me helps me see that you are what I have for many years been missing in my life,
A woman that is beautiful, and kind, and understanding, and loving, you are the woman I wished I would have met and been together long ago, and made you my wife.
But the past is the past, and the future is what we do with each moment now,
Let’s make each moment we are together count and overshadow the past,
And love like never before because that will be what will forever last.
I love you.
