She knows just what to do
To make me happy all the time

At Christmas and Thanksgiving
She’s the person I look for
She stays at my house overnight
But I want her to stay for more

I can tell when she’s joking
By the twinkle in her eyes
She’s the best at solving problems
She is patient and she’s wise

She is so creative
With her poetry and crafts
And every time I’m with her
We have a lot of laughs

Until the years began to pass I didn’t realize…
Nothing is more precious than those blessings in disguise.
Tender times pass all too soon but love can never perish.

And nothing can erase from mind those treasured years I’ll cherish.
Now and then sweet thoughts of you will bring a little smile.
Dearest to my heart are times that make our lives worthwhile.

Understanding one another’s kindly thoughtful deeds.
Near at hand to offer help to meet our wants and needs.
Can’t find the words to quite express the love that’s truly real.
Longing to assure you of the grateful way I feel.
Each word is meant straight from the heart
It’s written in this oath
