Barefoot mornings and you my beloved
Your sweet breath upon my ear
The finger’s of sunrise’s butter rays- linger
And dance in this morn’s shadow’s, my dear;
Green dreams of splendour in the grass
Kept me company last slumbers night
With wonderous wings of old and diamonds-sparkling
And the peace & serenity that comes from dreams ever bright;
Barefoot surrenders always lead me- my love
Into passions wanderlust of desire and need
Glimmering in hopes of blessings bestowed
And the riches that come from hope’s anointed seed;
Benedictions & beatitudes- my darling
Baptized only in your brown eyes
‘Tis the blessed love of we two- forever true
‘Neath this cathedral of cobalt skies;
