My die is cast,
My heart is stone.
I choose to go,
And leave all alone.
I travel on,
Ignoring each and all.
Never greeting any,
For humankind does not enthral.
I rest uncomfortably,
My thoughts are mine.
Of humanity’s cruelness,
Of which I’ll never align.
This world of hurt,
This place of pain.
It taxes me,
My soul does drain.
This road I’m on,
This lonely path now taken.
Mists cloud my judgement,
Maybe I’m mistaken.
I venture on,
Soon I’ll be asked.
To fight for justice,
For my heart now tasked…
I’ll slay them all every coward and bully,
Defend the weak against their sword.
For me a good death,
Is it’s own reward.
