And With So Much Of It/Negative Despairing

All this writing
All this ambition
All this pretension
And with so much of it
Negative despairing-

And who will care for it
When I am gone?

No one
Except perhaps a family member
And what a negative influence on them
Might it be?

Perhaps it is wise
When I come near the end
To delete as much of it as possible-

One day it will be
As if I never were-

And if my writing is too
As if it never were

What difference will it make
To anyone?
