If only I could make a dollar a day
I’d pass on Starbucks today and every day
Can’t even buy a decent coffee
And that’s adding to my misery
If only I could make two dollars today
I’d buy a McValue burger to save the day
I’d thank God for today’s meal
And that I didn’t have to steal
If only I could make three dollars today
I’d savor those yummy Wendy’s burgers all day
I’d thank God for giving me true taste buds
And for letting me forget about those duds
If only I could make four dollars today
I’d eat at Tim Horton’s on my lousy pay
I’d thank God for at least working
In an economy that’s sucking
If only I could make five dollars today
A sandwich at Second Cup and come what may
A second cup for the stranger on the street
Whose company I had a chance to meet
If only I could make six dollars today
I’d venture into Ali Baba’s great bay
I’d thank Mohamed for shawarma a la chicken
On behalf of all the hungry men and women
If only I could make seven dollars today
I’d put up residence on Pizza Hut’s Way
I’d stuff myself with this delicious Italian dough
And relish in the thought of making the others the foe
If only I could make eight dollars today
I’d eat at Boston Pizza to my dismay
Refrain from singing Mama Mia
And think about the dragon I saw
If only I could make nine dollars today
I’d get down on my knees and Thank God It’s Friday
I’d mingle with those hipsters and brewsters
Tasting food that was meant for such wordsters
If only I could make ten dollars today
I’d feast in the fruitful Olive Garden way
My mouth watering at the daily special meal
My mind boggling at such a phenomenal deal
Ah the hell with it…I’m gonna make eight hundred dollars today
By listening to Boom Radio and what they have to play
I’ll phone when they announce Richard Wlodarski
And then each and ev’ry day I’ll feel free
