I would rather be all alone
Like the moon in a starless night,
Than to ever be with a woman
Full of hatefulness and spite.
I would rather be like a falling star
That God has expelled from the sky,
Than to ever be with a woman again
Just for her wants and a reason to satisfy.
I would rather be like the night
Where I am not seen, but maybe heard,
Than to be with an evil woman
Life is too short, but not absurd.
I would much rather walk all alone
Down any road or even a forgotten path,
Than walking it with a woman
Who brings forth only wrath.
I would rather walk by myself
Than to brag a woman as my prize,
And then being used and tricked by her
And believing all of her lies.
I would rather walk into heaven all alone
With no woman at my side,
As I try to explain to God
Why a woman’s lies and deceit I accepted and did hide.
