I watch constantly,
My eyes always on what is out of bounds.
The chains locked, heavily over my heart.
The wine sits before me,
His eyes steady, face calm.
I must all my strength,
I mustnt forget.
Resist.
His sweet, tender voice reels me in
A fish caught on his line.
His words cirlcle around me
Blotting out everything else.
Oh why should this be so difficult?
Why must he be so tempting?
Why me?
If I had my way he’d be mine.
The tree stands tall,
guarding what is it’s own.
My mouth is so dry
Teeth chatter
Cant wait to take a bite
Being rejected is nothing compared to this torture.
I want him so bad.
Maybe I could just take him
and chance at what could happen.
I cant take much more
I want to claim my forbidden fruit.
I need it now.
This pain is too real for me.
I want it to end.
Why should he not come?
No, resist, I have a mission to uphold.
But today’s test is proving hard.
Im weak.
Weak with pain,
Weak with temptation
Weak even more so with hunger.
When will he be mine?
When can I leave this garden?
I ask of nothing more,
Than the Lion that stands before me
For I am a mere lamb,
waiting for the mighty beast to fall.
Waiting eternally,
For my fruit.
