Hard Times For Young Lovers

How could this love be responsible?
I discovered a passion rather impossible
Awakening with puppy love butterflies in my stomach
Your face and disposition are irresistible.
This lunar eclipse has me moonstruck
With your humourism I have such luck
Giggling out of control is so phenomenal
Our life together is indivisible
Almost every miracle is probable
Nonetheless our love is visible

As rosy as this sounds the world around us frowns

Well my mommy slammed the lid
Says I didn’t know what I did
playing doctor underneath the porch.
Though it felt so good she said the devil said it would

Notwithstanding to this truly dismal situation
I feel pulsing forward my infatuation
Consumed in this moment so luscious

However at home the ceiling is coming down
All my parents do is scoff grimly and scowl

We could escape this town in joy and elope
Springing through pastures in the moonlight
