I was drunk, fallen like a beast hunted,
Full of words of death and ruination,
Forming images of godly calamities, and
Undesired results, since love fell from the world.
I was drinking from the mouth a liquid called Highness;
Instead of clarity and doubtlessness, there was rigour
And violence of stars and planets in turmoil,
Where life breathes only for the first time.
The last time I breathed, I collected my duties
And threw them in one direction befitting to the devil.
The devil slew me due to duty, messing my face,
As acid corrupts the body when neared.
It was sadder when direct action took place,
Friends arrived and got drunk to collect their duty.
So the devil took its second strike on us,
We were parties of love and honesty – but Satan was foe.
