Something has changed forever
She realized,
They are leaving now,
And this room, and this sky.
Will never be the same, somehow
A sea of sentiments carries their goodbye,
They will take with them so much, so far;
What will be left, is empty walls,
Like those of an irresistible art exhibition,
Where every charming painting was sold;
And the room and the sky are not,
Not the same, Everything has changed!
They are leaving now,
She realized
Both, either not here, or at the door
Going out,
Nothing will be the same, nothing anymore,
Will it matter?
The times that room was filled with candor,
Laughter, music, dance and singing voice?
With love, amusement, home made hors d’oeuvres?
Will those times matter, she asked herself,
Or will their laughter, the voice, fade, and go
To gradually reach them and nothing will remain?
They gave so much of themselves to everyone,
Both the same, both at the same time.
Now they are leaving, again together,
She realized,
Did they choose it this way, unknowingly?
It must be impossible, they would not leave
Any of the guests alone, how could they choose this?
She was certain, they couldn’t do this to her,
Impossible, that they chose,
But still, they are leaving,
And seeing them leave, has changed everything,
Everything she had known from the
Beginning until now,
The room is already wearing its emptiness,
That feels like a scar, as if someone tore the walls
And let them bare,
She could do nothing, absolutely nothing,
To keep them there…
They are leaving now,
She realized,
And cried,
Powerless, and alone in a room
With bare walls…
