I loved you – My dream,
My one, deep in the heart,
My whole life, a search sublime,
To hold you close and reach the stars.
At times, I found you in a bliss,
But lost you on the chosen path,
And found you again within a kiss,
But than again, I lost your grasp;
And you arrived, in unforeseen sunrises,
Like a butterfly that rests on nectars,
My dream – you carried a fleeting happiness,
That swiftly arose, but disappeared just as fast.
And longer time has passed now,
And farther you have gone,
Although you’re still deep in my heart,
I hardly see you, here, all alone.
I loved you – My dream,
My one, the one forever mine
I wished to be, for happiness to stream;
But after all, perhaps the chance, I see,
Could be to hold you only one last time.
If even that doesn’t come true,
Then lost you’ll be, the dream I loved,
The one I wished the most to come through,
Will never come again; her time has passed…
To newer dreams I will then walk,
To newer paths and life’s callings,
Abandoned, my loved dream, and lost
You’ll be, and sadly, a part of my heart
Would’ve followed…
