I miss you now,
More than I ever thought,
I thought years would go by,
And life would take its course,
As it already has,
Where places we walked,
Hand in hand,
Either are far away,
Or probably don’t exist anymore,
Where that little lighthouse,
Full of happiness and belonging,
Has no more light, neither has pulse,
Nor feelings of togetherness,
Or the magic of forever;
I have been to all those places,
Alone,
I have visited them,
Just so to feel one more time,
Your presence
Ours,
Where we stood,
And felt our souls;
But, it wasn’t that anymore,
They are now just empty places,
Empty things,
Their meaning gone,
There’s no more magic,
Hidden in them,
And all of it,
All,
The lighthouse,
The seashore,
The sand,
The boardwalk,
The balcony,
The sound of rain,
The one you liked
So much to dance with,
Of all of them
Nothing seems the same,
Not anymore,
As if they had a purpose,
To be there
When we walked,
And loved,
To make everything
So much more beautiful!
But still,
I miss you,
The one I know,
The one who spoke
To my heart alone,
I miss your warm voice,
I miss you,
Even far away from,
The brick stones we built,
And those empty places
And empty things,
Because in the heart of hearts,
I see you and still hear you speak.
