A young guy and younger gal
I smiled
they heard my mumbles
a young guy and younger gal
they a lovely kissingpair
I just came across a young guy
even younger gal
kissing right under the waiter’s nose
I asked them if they had read my poem
Drink Dance and Die
they said should have seen
”Drink with Thine Eyes”
Dance while your imagination does rise
then dine later
in the dimness of flickering candlelight
seemingly bright
Yet thereafter
you will see
no lights will be needed
under the covers of darkness
they kissed and smiled
both blushed and winked
later
blinked away from my eyes
I smiled
they looked at each other
I smiled
and
mumbled within
Dance tonight
as if there
will not be another one
be there no other day
for anyone
that is all I can say
the sun shall rise again
but alas
what can I say
of your vein
Drink with thine eyes
if you may
they again heard my mumbles
became serious
loudly screamed
perhaps heard my mumbles
but returned with no grumbles
you teach in lighter vein
see what we young ones do tonight
has to be seen as the night
as youthful does remain
you had your life’s dances too
we hope all knew
none went in vain
our hot blood still
runs in our veins
and
tonight we have been destined
to play the right game
as you rightly say
maybe for the first time
but the hot sun
shall rise again and again
Sire dance to your tunes
as long as sweet hot blood
does in your veins remain
We dance, the dance of youth,
you have outlived out your game
let’s dance, drink and dine once
and trust youwe must
many times
as long as on the earth you remain
We take leave
for our destined aim
let the nights be so coy
O Ole boy
