Come the dark
you and I
on lilting wings
fly
into the
deeper depths
light mixing
freely with dark
sweet innocences
and dark regrets
mingling
where longings
lie down
with gushing need
and arms
reach for fire
and night.
Come the dark
we come
stammering
again and again
thrust into
this
flailing
helplessly
sha ttering
reasons
in the twilight
hands reaching
minds bending
timeless
leavings
shocked
that morning
comes so
soon
and naked
we walk
into that good
sunlight
transformed
and united
again.
