Good Side Of A Gridlock

On a hot, summer midday, as he was sitting in his car,
Stranded in the gridlock,
He looked out through the window glass.
His eyes stuck on an abandoned railway wagon,
Unused, unwanted, allowed to rest for ever.

Only the wagon stood still, lifeless!
Sun grass grew luxuriantly around,
Touch-me-not flowers bloomed on the mimosa pudica.
He thought of the lightning bugs that would twinkle at night,
A scene he used to wonder at, in his childhood days.
