Specks of summer streak on lithe canopy
Flooding floral roofs with a polished sheen
They echo through leafs with aureate green
Leaving timbers in fragrant majesty
And young thrushes chirp obscured from the light
Cantering blithely in leap frogging motions
As wood beast creep in stealthily commotion
Cloaked in thick coppice on whispering sight
And noon hangs high in the thick mobs of trees
Pouring on oaks and black elms in their droves
Their tresses twine the air, in prodigious troves
On Spindly branches, and over mossy feet
Deep in bark mazes, where mysteries are sowed
And the woods flow in their maternal glow
In The Woods
