Fundamentally I’m indeed a fortunate man

Spiritually in life….I’ve found
Along the way there’s always been the helping hand
….In mind’s eye…thinking back
Very first memory ’twas in fact…..
My possessions included not a single crumb
…..Forgive me if you will
In the past I’m dwelling still….
That precursor of poignant memories yet to come
…Throughout life’s many ups and downs
In darkest moments….I have found…..
Along the way there’s always been the helping hand
