Silence is a prayer for hope,
To save me from the agony of despair,
When I’m dangling from the edge of a steep cliff,
Hanging onto the end of a rope,
Help is needed,
To pull me back into my elusive dreams,
Like a tilled field fully seeded,
Bitterness is a madness of losing,
Like binge drinkers when they are boozing.
My heart will always hide a part of you,
I’m now lost in this world of many faces,
Chasing my shadow away,
To far-flung places,
My alibi is never far from home,
I’m writing across changing skies,
I feel so alone,
Deep in the complexity of my thoughts
That fought for answers,
Without the rhythm of a dancer,
Now waiting for my airplane,
Sitting on a cold, hard chair,
Away, I’m leaving my troubled lair,
Peace is a foreign land that doesn’t care,
That is my destiny, but is it fair?
I want pleasure at my leisure,
Without seeing your face in the familiar crowd,
Your eyes glancing away,
Closing my day,
Like slamming a door on my future tale,
Far away,
Far away, from the fear of everyday, your prescence in my way,
Alone and silent, is my prayer, to capture my fleeing spirit,
Revive my stopped heartbeat, as I retreat,
Let the darkness cease,
Turn the light on,
No more repeats
Of loving a cheat!
