The ocean with waves of fluid motion,
A teenage girl incredibly thin,
With pale frosty skin,
Breathing in the crisp air,
Longing for adventures, without care,
Instead of this trap,
Tying her down, with an unbreakable strap,
Nature’s arena embracing her starved body,
Like wearing her mother’s snug wrap.
Mountains enduring great hardships, against the elements,
The sky changing moodily, with endless tears,
Trees looking down from their lofty heights,
Birds flying back with all their might,
To their young, feeble chicks,
The grass feeds and licks,
The moist earth, so fertile,
Along, growing up miles,
Without many smiles.
Frozen in time, like a child of the whispering wind,
She worships the beauty,
Feelings, stirring many colours of her spirit,
With merit,
Floating on a lake scattered with ripened cherries,
Fear of the word adult which will snatch her dreams away,
Her frazzled mind,
Becomes calm with a cooling balm,
In the mist swirling land,
With her passion for the music of her favourite band.
Rolling over sandunes, beginning to feel well,
She spots a shimmering shell,
As she holds the cone shape to her petite ear,
Now the world is grinning, so near,
With the sound of ancient wisdom,
That gives a cheer,
She is certain her inner child,
Will always wonder,
Ponder on the absurdity of been grown up,
But her words will always caress the tenderness,
And newness of living.
Her eyes begin to shine, letting time have its hold,
Winning is not about been thin,
Its about been happy in your own skin,
As she sings out blissfully,
In this panorama of a spectacular force of conflict,
That ceases with the familiar comfort,
Of wet greasy seaweed wrapping around her bare feet,
Making her fears ramble away,
As she bathes in the joy of finding the truth, complete.
