Bless the things I’ve come to know
And those I’d like to sing.
And bless the star-crossed lovers
In the cooler days of spring.
Bless the winds of summer
And the stars that shine above.
And bless the winter evenings
And the girls that I have loved.
Bless the farmer’s daughter
With her golden hair so fine.
And bless the one I’ll marry
Till the day that she is mine.
Bless the sun in winter
And the precious morning dew.
And bless the little children
When they’re past the age of two.
Bless the times I walked away
From things I didn’t see.
And thank you Lord, for holding back
And never telling me.
Bless my long successes
And my constant failures too.
And bless the hope I’ll always have
As long as I have you.
Bless the older people
In the twilight of their age.
And don’t forget to bless the trees
For giving me this page.
Bless the silent snowfall
And my wishes that came true.
And, oh yes Lord, but most of all;
My Blessing goes to you.
