Traveller, don’t drink the sun-warmed water
Of this beck muddied by my trailing sheep,
But climb the hill, there, where the heifers graze,
Go on a yard or two, and you will find, below
That shepherds’ pine, bubbling from wet rock,
A spring colder than northern snow.
