However selfishly we’d spent our days,
’Tis not too late to turn now selfless, man;
However sinful we’d been in our ways,
We need good deeds for health of soul like bran.
However unkind we’d been yesterday,
We ought to turn sympathetic henceforth;
However pow’r-mad, we ought to someday
Come down to earth and realize our worth.
However dishonest in life we’d been,
The truths will stare at us sometime surely;
However slanderous we were and mean,
Remorse alone can save our soul truly.
However steeped in vice were yesteryears,
We ought to practice virtues as death nears!
