A man who’s good can’t sin for long for God’s
Punishment will be on him in a trice;
He turns a new leaf amidst many odds;
His penitence saves him from further vice.
The sinner, God ignores for long, long years;
No doubt, He gives him chances to turn good;
The poor man’s prayers, Maker surely hears,
Rescuing him from dangers of the wood.
Why should God lose an Angel of Heaven?
Ne’er would He barter one for a devil;
‘Forgive, He says, ‘Times seventy and seven.’
God is still kind to ones who do evil.
Let man not take advantage of God’s heart
Of love, forgiveness, but just do his part.
